Thanks Everyone!

Wow! Tyler and I have been blown away, a week after launching our kickstarter campaign, by how much the skiing community has supported the concept. We have received comments, emails, and support from people all over the country. Turns out the concept that Tyler and I have discussed on car rides for many years resonates with others. I want to thank all of you in our strong community for making this dream a reality.

When we first discussed the project we decided that 25K would be needed to do an awesome job for the entire project. But not knowing the level of support we would receive, we decided to scale back that estimate to at least get on our feet or get "kickstarted" and judge the reaction from the public. Now that we know this movie is actually going to happen, we need to get the word out there as much as possible.

A Ski Movie

Tyler and have been talking about producing a short ski film focused solely on small ski areas and what makes them unique, for several years now. We decided that kickstarter.com would be a good platform to make this happen because a lot of people can give a small amount of money in order to make something they believe in come true. The site also only extracts money once you've reached your fundraising goal. For us this is 5,000. We've also pledged to give anyone who donates over 25 dollars a copy of the film, a seat at the premier, and a t-shirt with the movie logo, the locations of the shoots, and the skiers and filmers names on the back.

This will be a great way to advertise for Cochrans as well as other small ski hills in the area. The same way the big budget ski films highlight Whistler and Aspen, we want to show people what makes our little mountains fun ski and twice as unique.

The Fall Line

Hey everyone,

I'm sure you got Colin's email about Fit Day. A good time to start thinking about gear, how much your kids grew over the summer, and how all of their X-mas presents will probably be ski racing related.
Here are the details:

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 9th

What: Northern VT Fit Day

Who: USSA Athletes, Families & Friends of Race Stock

Where: Race Stock 69 South Main, Waterbury, VT. 05676

Time: 9am – 2pm

Save the date for the 8th Annual Northern VT Fit Day! Reps from all the big race brands will be on-site to showcase new equipment, answer your questions, and fit athletes for their new gear. ARTECH and Race Stock Sports will be present with some great deals on closeout gear and to accept orders for skis and boots. This will be the 1st chance for race form eligible athletes to reserve 12/13 product. You do not want to miss it!

This is a rain or shine event.

If its dry, I'd be down to ride Perry Hill with anyone interested.
