Cochran's Ski Club WAIVER AND RELEASE

 I, _______________________________ understand and accept that alpine skiing, and particularly ski racing, are inherently hazardous sports that may lead to personal injury and even death.  I agree, as a condition of being allowed to participate in training, racing, and other activities sponsored and conducted by Cochran’s Ski Club, that I freely accept and voluntarily assume all risks of personal injury or death and hereby release the Cochran’s Ski Club, its agents, employees, directors, officers, volunteers and coaches from any and all liability for personal injury or property damage which results in any way from any coaching, training, advice or any other activity offered by the Cochran’s Ski Club, including, but not limited to, alleged negligence, failure to act, errors or omissions of any kind whatsoever.  I understand that Cochran’s Ski Club is a non-profit organization run by its members on a volunteer basis and that Cochran’s Ski Club does not have the resources to pay any claims for alleged liability for any skiing, racing or training injuries; and I understand that Cochran’s Ski Club does not carry or maintain liability or health insurance coverage of any kind. 

            I agree to carry or provide health insurance coverage for myself and my minor children to cover any injury suffered in skiing, racing, training or other activity offered by Cochran’s Ski Club.  I agree further not to sue or institute any legal action whatsoever against the Cochran’s Ski Club. 

            I have read and understand this Waiver and Release.  I am signing it freely and of my own accord, realizing it is a legally binding agreement upon myself, my children, my estate, my heirs and assigns, and in the event that I am signing on behalf of my minor child, that I have fully explained it to my minor child, and that I have full authority to sign it on his or her behalf.
